Adult Social Club
The Adult Social Club runs twice a week for people to meet and socialise. This club is fully inclusive and is open to people on the autistic spectrum, people who identify as autistic.
On Tuesdays, members choose what they want to do out in the community. Favourite activities are bowling, swimming, tennis, pub quizzes, cinema, BBQs, walks, birthday and just for fun meals out. The most popular activity, is Planet Pool night, which happens the second Tuesday of every month, kindly sponsored by Baker Tilly.
On Thursday evening, we meet at the Brighton Close Community Room (click here for location & directions), from 6 pm, until 8 pm, to enjoy a relaxed and welcoming environment, sit and chat with a cuppa or play board games, bingo or Wii games.
Trained facilitators oversee logistics, such as booking tables, arranging tickets and sorting transport, but members are encouraged to have control of how the club is run.
An opportunity to access activities and make new friends, sessions help to reduce isolation, increase confidence, promote independence, and provide valuable social and life skills through new experiences.
New members are always welcome at the club.
